Arrived 10 minutes before closing for lunch. The staff was friendly. The food was yummy. Good salads and great french dip.
My mom tried this place and was raving about how good the Almond Croissant is, so we met her there at noon on Sunday. They offered both the breakfast and the lunch menu. My mom and her friend had the French dip with French onion soup and the Almond Croissant. My wife had the roast Roast Beef Panini and a Pear Tart. I had the Patté Sandwich and an Almond Croissant as well. The food was really good, all of us went home with boxes. They have several different types of Tarts plus they also serve Quiche. It's walk up service, but they serve your food to your table. Very friendly staff.
Homemade pastries, sauces and jams delicious breakfast and lunch foods in downtown Escondido. The staff is hit and miss. They are always friendly but they tend to be young and not always good about prompt service/bringing things you need. The owner is a gem though and very involved in the community. Wish they had longer hours and served breakfast longer!
